February was a month of snow and ice and illness, Girl Scout cookies and birthdays, trips to the Carle Museum and fan art, writing and revising, school vacation week and a memorial service. We watched The Librarians documentary on PBS, and it was pretty grim, but no surprises if you’ve been keeping up with book banning news for the past few years. I’m grateful for glimmers of spring (some of the snow is melting!), even if it’s going to get cold again. And of course, the best part of any month…books! All titles listed are ones I liked; bold indicates a particular standout (such as The Lions’ Run, already leading the pack over at Heavy Medal).
